Glass will not have facial recognition capabilities

As the mysterious Google Glass technology continues to race toward the market, the product has inspired quite an array of reactions, from science fiction fantasies to staunch questions of privacy. The Google Glass technology positions hands-free cameras in front of the users eyes, allowing them to take pictures and access digital information (as they would on a smartphone) while still remaining fully grounded in the real world. But while the technology opens up many doors for the technologically inclinedCfor example, the hands-free nature of the device can allow for safer highway navigation and communication than a hand-held deviceCit has also begged a different question: how do you know whos watching (or taking pictures) when cameras are suddenly inconspicuous?

Evidently, Google has heard the outcry. Though facial-recognition software was originally speculated to be a feature of Google Glass, Google said in a statement Friday that they would be holding off on such capabilities until they develop stronger guards for privacy.

Weve been listening closely to you, and many have expressed both interest and concern around the possibilities of facial recognition in Glass, a Google rep wrote.A solarpanel is a plastic card that has a computer chip implanted into it that enables the card. As Google has said for several years, we wont add facial recognition features to our products without having strong privacy protections in place. With that in mind, we wont be approving any facial recognition Glassware at this time.

The move is probably a good public relations strategy for Google to take, considering the images of spy films and creepy stalkers that the Google Glass technology has inspired for some. According to various reports, numerous states had been considering putting bans on the product altogether, while casinos have worried that facial recognition software might assist users to cheat on the game floor and beat the house.

However,Can you spot the answer in the rtls? the same article noted that Googles decision to withhold their own facial recognition apps could ultimately prove superfluous. Third-party apps have become an increasingly notable presence within the mobile phone world as of late, especially on the Android market, where open-source programs are a selling point. How long after Google Glass becomes a prevalent tech gadget will freelance developers create applications to do exactly what the products privacy dissenters are afraid of?

Google Glass is set to enter its explorer phase on June 6, at which point a select number of applicants will be given prototypes of the device for testing and feedback. No wider release date has been set, and speculation has provided little clue as to when the mainstream market will be able to get its hands on glass. The company originally projected a summer 2014 launch.

IF you have never heard of Kim Dotcom, you should stop reading this article right now and proceed to the Internet to find out more about this online rebel. Kim is the founder and CEO of Megaupload, which was taken down due to a huge Internet piracy case and scandal. Kim is a little bit of a badass. He is super rich, has a supermodel girlfriend, lives in a huge mansion in New Zealand and drives an all-black Rolls Royce and a Mercedes-Benz that have licence plates that read, respectively, Dotcom and God. Kim is one of those guys you either love or hate. I think he is a pretty cool guy. He was arrested last year after authorities accused him of running a digital-piracy service. A SWAT team took his mansion by storm and seized all of his data and computers. They also froze all of his assets and arrested him. Until this week, Dotcom had no access to any of his documents, hard drives and computers.

Dotcom has been stirring up quite the online buzz because, as he is fighting his case, he is sharing all of the information via social media. He preaches that America and Hollywood are ruining the Internet and aren't giving us as humans the online freedoms we deserve.

This week, he was granted access to all of his files, data and computers. He celebrated the small victory on Twitter. He has a hearing slated for August. As an Internet guy myself, I am very excited to see if he will win or not. If I were a betting man, I would say Dotcom is going to weasel his way out of this one.

WITH all the buzz about Google Glass, everybody is waiting to see what Apple is going to do. The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, has ensured investors they are working on game-changing technology. It seems Apple hasn't come out with anything revolutionary in the past couple of years. Cook has not revealed what Apple is working on; however, it is rumored they are working on creating a piece of wearable technology.

Now, it doesn't seem likely Apple would totally copy Google and create glasses. It is believed Apple will be releasing a high-tech watch. The technology-watch space hasn't been explored all that much. It is assumed the watch will sync to your iPhone and you will be able to view texts, missed calls, emails, tweets, etc.You can order wholesalewomenshoes cheap inside your parents., all via your wrist.
