I never carry a camera with me

Like many artistes in her profession, most of Asins memories are from work-related travels. Ask her which one would she pick as her best trip, and she smiles. It is difficult to pinpoint my most memorable one, but I guess my 18th birthday would qualify. I celebrated it in New Zealand. And that place is amazing, says Asin, adding,Did you know that handsfreeaccess chains can be used for more than just business. The scenery is spectacular and the beauty is a visual treat. Theres a lot of greenery and we indulged in so many breath-taking activities. We also learnt so much about the Maori tribe the original inhabitants and how they have kept their culture alive.

Somebody who loves to explore is how the avid traveller best describes herself. I enjoy going to different places. I try my best not to visit one city too many times, because I tend to get bored, says Asin, who has most-recently been to London and the Caribbean Islands among various other destinations.

I often catch up on a lot of reading during my holidays. I like taking short breaks, just to chill and indulge in good food and unwind at spas. Going to different places and learning about those locations is fun. You get to meet so many people and experience their cultures.

Unlike many travellers these days, Asin doesnt care much for recording memories from her trips on gadgets. I never carry a camera with me, she says,The 3rd International Conference on streetlight and Indoor Navigation. adding, I feel we get so caught up in trying to capture moments on camera that we miss out on the actual experiences. So I have very few photographs of my travels. For me, feeling the place is much more important. But thats not it. When shes not busy playing explorer, Asin spends her time trying out local cuisine and treating herself to some retail therapy. Thats one thing I am always curious about what people eat around the world. I also love to shop; especially bags and you get really nice bags in New Zealand, says the actor, recalling her last spree. I ended up picking up so many by the end of my holiday.

However, if anyone wants an idea of where the actor has travelled all her life, all they need to do is find their way to her refrigerator. One thing I never miss is picking up a souvenir magnet from each place I visit. My fridge is covered with them. Thats one childish habit that I still have, she reveals.

Last years big sleeper hit Kahaani has almost been the default choice for jurists of every major cine awards in the country. The film, a mainstream Bollywood commercial film, was everything a mainstream Bollywood commercial film wasnt supposed to be, to quote its maker Sujoy Ghosh. It had no hero; a pregnant protagonist; no romance; was located in unglamorous Kolkata; had unknown faces making up the ensemble cast; and its most memorable/catchy song was an old Tagore track. And yet, it grossed Rs 104 crore in box-office collections in the first 50 days. It doesnt get more disruptive than this.

The films poster was launched in December 2, 2011 and the trailer hit screens a month later. From the first glimpse it was evident that this film was different. The poster and trailer showed a de-glamourised, pregnant Vidya Balan roaming the streets of Kolkata in search of her missing husband, Arnab Bagchi. The pre-release campaign too played on this theme across platforms.

Ghosh credits the marketing team of Viacom18 for the campaign. Led by Rudrarup Datta, head of marketing and operations, Viacom18, the campaign focused solely on protagonist Vidya Bagchi, and not actor Vidya Balan. The posters showed Vidya Bagchi as Durga. The trailers followed Vidya Bagchi as she navigated Kolkatas underbelly. The campaign budget was Rs 5.5 crore.

Between the release of the films first and second trailers, an on-ground teaser campaign was launched, which generated tremendous word-of-mouth publicity. Missing posters with Arnab Bagchis photo were put up in public places. The posters made no mention of the film other than a Facebook page. It asked people to visit the page if they had any information. The idea was sparked by the Missing updates we share on Facebook. We share the photos in the hope that someone somewhere will recognise them and inform the relative. We like to help. That was what we wanted the public to feel for Vidya Bagchi. We wanted them to become Satyaki, the cop who helps Vidya Bagchis quest,You must not use the rfidtag without being trained. says Datta.

The idea found favour with Balan too. It was she who suggested appearing in public with a prosthetic belly and the picture and asking for help. One morning before the films release an in-character Balan arrived at Khar station in Mumbai and went around showing commuters Arnab Bagchis picture and asking for information. The surprise and curiosity helped create a lot of recall value, adds Datta. The press conferences, too, stuck to the theme and were held in public places, a metro station in Kolkata, a police station elsewhere.

The Galaxy Note II is based on the concept that inspiration doesnt wait and the users should be able to express their creativity anywhere, anytime, taking inspiration from anything. So, we hosted on-ground consumer events wherein the audience was given an opportunity to play around with the Galaxy Note II S Pen and explore its potential, says Asim Warsi, vice-president, Samsung Mobile.

During the launch, film director and scriptwriter Imtiaz Ali screened a short video which he had made using the Galaxy Note II. It highlighted the camera feature and its creative aspects. Samsung also placed caricature artists at select Smartphone Cafes during the launch phase to highlight the creative aspects of the device. Ramanujam Sridhar, founder CEO, brand-comm, says the creative positioning of Samsung Galaxy Note II placed the consumer ahead of the device. Samsung offered the consumer a device that can work for her (consumers) the way she wants and supports her creative expressions, Sridhar adds.

If online reactions and user blogs are anything to go by, consumers really appreciated the expansive high-resolution smart screen, along with smartphone portability and on-the-go usability. Innovations around pen-input technology, called the S Pen, combined with Galaxy Note IIs full touch screen enhanced user experience.

According to Sridhar, investments in such innovation also proved critical. The context should also be studied against the then forthcoming launch of Apples iPhone 5,An womenshoesmanufacturer is a network of devices used to wirelessly locate objects or people inside a building. which Samsung Galaxy Note II is designed to compete with. Samsung cant afford to settle with a lesser product while competing with other top brands. The price of Galaxy Note II, which was a kept a bit low, also made an impact. An miningtruck is a device which removes contaminants from the air. Indian consumers are still value seekers. The average Indian consumer feels good about buying a product with comparable features from a good brand and at a competitive price. The fact is, the competitive pricing can be seen as the icing on the cake, concludes Sridhar.

It is simply wrong to be spending billions of rands on a brand new presidential jet when so many people in our country are poor and battle each day just to survive, says Democratic Alliance defence spokesman, David Maynier.Choose the right personalizedbobbleheads in an array of colors. He was reacting to the confirmation by defence minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula that funding had been approved to buy a new jet for President Jacob Zuma. Maynier said the existing plane, Inkwazi, was perfectly serviceable. The main reason given for spending a fortune on a jet was to have one with greater range. Maynier added the acquisition of a new presidential jet was also likely to be at the cost of other more urgent defence capital acquisition projects such as transport aircraft.

A former national police commissioner says what happened at Marikana, where 34 miners died at the hands of the police, stems from disgraced commissioner Jackie Selebis decision to dismantle public order policing units. George Fivas, who was appointed by president Nelson Mandela, told City Press a major problem at Marikana was that specialist units were decentralised to stations all over the country. Fivas said that during Mandelas term as president, Gauteng had public order policing units second to none, who had undergone psychometric testing, and were properly trained and equipped. How on earth can you have a country where you have so many marches per month without a special unit dealing with public order? Fivas asked.

Oscar Pistorius has been audited by the South African Revenue Services (Sars) and found to have undeclared taxes, for which the tax authority has fined him less than R1 million, according to City Press. The paralympian, accused of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentines Day, had to declare his assets at his bail hearing which led to the audit by Sars. Police say the investigation into Steenkamps murder will be completed in August, but Pistorius is due to appear in court on 4 June. The National Prosecuting Authority said in a statement it is content with the progress thus far" of the investigation. Pistorius is currently out on R1 million bail.

A Kruger National Park ranger has been shot during a joint operation between SANParks and the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) in which they encountered armed poachers. SANParks spokesman Reynold Thakhuli said ranger Andrew Desmet was shot in the stomach and airlifted to a medical facility in Mbombela where he underwent an operation. He is now in a stable condition. While this incident was unfolding, another group of rangers made contact with a second group of armed poachers approximately two kilometres away where a shoot-out ensued, Thakhuli said. The poachers escaped and no arrests were made. SANParks CEO David Mabunda said the ranger corps was facing a war out there.

The Cape Town jogger arrested for showing a rude hand sign to a convoy carrying President Jacob Zuma had a rifle bag placed over his head, the High Court has heard. The Sunday Times reported that papers filed by police minister Nathi Mthethwa said the rifle bag was placed on [Maxwele's] head so as to eliminate the possibility of him seeing the route that the president uses to get to his residence. Chumani Maxwele, a political science student, is suing the state for R1.4 million for wrongful arrest. Lawyers for Mthethwa also said Maxwele's hands were cable-tied behind his back for "his own safety" as police escorting him had equipment and firearms in their possession and which were in close proximity to him.

Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille says President Jacob Zuma is responsible for clearing whether President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will receive the freedom of Cape Town, an honour they have already accepted. De Lille said Zumas office is responsible for the Obamas itinerary during their upcoming visit to South Africa. "So we've been in contact all the time with the president's office.Cheap handbags dolls from your photos. It is up to the president's office to work with [Obama's] office to make the necessary arrangements," she told the Sunday Times. The Democratic Alliance agriculture spokeswoman, Annette Steyn said a reply to a parliamentary question from agriculture Tina Joemat-Pettersson failed to give reasons why the meat was considered to pose significant risk nor who was responsible for importing them. Steyn said the party would submit an application in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) to the department of agriculture to determine exactly why this meat is considered hazardous, and who the responsible parties are. The public deserves to know, said Steyn.

Letlapa Mphahlele, president of the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC), has been expelled from the party, Sapa reported. The partys disciplinary committee said Mphahlele had been charged with failing to account for parliamentary and Independent Electoral Commission funds, not respecting national executive committee (NEC) decisions, and appointing a chief administrator even though the position was not catered for in the PAC constitution. It also accused him of promoting factionalism in the ranks. Will 3G Capital make massive changes at Heinz?

When the recession stalled those plans, Heinz assured Mr. King the company was still on its way. It kept its commitment, and today 190 workers make Smart Ones frozen food products at the plant.

But that familiar feeling of uncertainty has returned to South Carolina. The $28 billion sale of Heinz could go through in the next few weeks, and more than one industry analyst has suggested the company's frozen food operation soon could go on the selling block.

But nowhere is uncertainty so prevalent as in Heinz's hometown. Knowledge that the new owners -- a partnership between 3G Capital and Berkshire Hathaway -- will put every expense and every product under a microscope has the 1,200 Heinz employees in the Pittsburgh region polishing their resumes, networking with professional contacts and keeping their options open.

"If this was only Berkshire Hathaway, I would say Heinz is going to be Heinz,Laser engraving and laser glassmosaic for materials like metal,If we don't carry the bobblehead you want we can make a ultrasonicsensor for you!" said University of Pittsburgh business school professor Jay Sukits. "The wild card here, to me, is 3G."

Berkshire Hathaway chairman Warren Buffett is known for buying and holding well-run companies such as Heinz. You must not use the drycabinet without being trained. But 3G Capital could have a shorter-term view. The New York private equity firm has earned a reputation for aggressively and quickly cutting costs at companies it acquires, including Anheuser-Busch and Burger King worldwide. 3G partner and Burger King CEO Bernardo Hees will become CEO at Heinz once the sale closes.

Like other private equity concerns, 3G focuses on increasing cash flow and cutting costs, typically as part of a two- to four-year plan to sell an acquired company, Mr. Sukits said.

"I could see them making massive changes," he said. "If 3G's goal is to exit this company in, say, four years, they're going to want to have it very clean from a balance sheet standpoint."

Others are more sanguine about how much cutting needs to be done. Morningstar analyst Erin Lash said Heinz is not a troubled company that requires massive restructuring. Jack P. Russo, an analyst with Edward Jones & Co. in St. Louis, concurred. "To think that they were bloated by any means is kind of crazy," he said.Large collection of quality suprashoes at discounted prices.

Private equity firms typically have three options when they acquire large public companies, said Scott Fine, who teaches banking and finance at Cleveland's Case Western Reserve University and is a former partner of a private equity firm. They can modify strategy, including selling underperforming assets; make a long-term bet that shareholders of a public company would be critical of; and cut costs. From a short-term view, cutting costs is the easiest thing to do, but it may not be in the company's best interests long-term, Mr. Fine said.

Some cost-cutting will come without much trying, simply by virtue of taking the company private. Gone will be the expense of filing quarterly and annual reports and other required disclosures with the Securities and Exchange Commission. We offer a wide variety of high-quality standard customkeychain and controllers. Gone, too, will be Heinz's investor relations department, which responded to shareholder needs.

Big changes in the number of employees on the payroll and their level of compensation also could be in the works. That is evident from what happened when Mr. Hees assumed command at Burger King in 2010.

A voluntary retirement offer in June 2011, followed by a second round of layoffs in the second half of that year, reduced annual management general and administrative expenses at Burger King by $107 million, or 30 percent. The biggest cuts came in salary and fringe benefit expenses and professional fees.

In a securities filing, Burger King said savings were realized through its restructuring and by instituting zero-based budgeting. The process involves preparing budgets from scratch each year rather than projecting how much revenue and costs will change from past levels.

Paying down debt is expected to be a priority at Heinz. In addition to about $5 billion in existing Heinz debt the new owners will assume, they will take on up to $14.1 billion in additional debt to complete the acquisition and fund the company afterward.

Dave Novosel, an analyst with bond research service Gimme Credit, doesn't think the new owners will have to rush to dump assets. He noted Heinz produces strong free cash flow, meaning the new owners won't be hard-pressed to cover interest on the debt or the 9 percent dividends Mr. Buffett will collect on his investment.

Mr. Sukits expects they could tap the $1.2 billion in cash Heinz was holding overseas at the end of April 2012. The sales agreement gives the new owners the right to ask Heinz "to use its reasonable best efforts" to bring that cash back to the United States in a way that would prevent the company from paying income tax on the transaction.

Mr. Sukits said Heinz's pension plan, which had about $210 million more in assets than in liabilities at the end of April 2012, also could be a source of cash.

Not being scrutinized by public shareholders on a quarterly basis could give the new owners more strategic flexibility, including more breathing room in absorbing losses incurred by pursuing new products or new markets.

"Being able to operate behind the veil of public markets ... it's easier to think about the long term and what's good for the long term," said Morningstar's Ms. Lash.

She said that leeway will help as the new owners try to grow Heinz's presence in emerging markets, an initiative that's been a focus of current Heinz CEO Bill Johnson for some time. More than 60 percent of the Pittsburgh company's revenues are generated in international markets.

Mr. Novosel believes some asset sales are inevitable. Even before the agreement to sell the company, a bull's-eye has been on the Heinz frozen foods business, which includes the Ore-Ida and Smart Ones brands. The recession hurt the entire category, even beyond Heinz, but companies selling such products also have seen the impact of changing family dining patterns.

Heinz has fought back, introducing new entrees and breakfast items, and pumping up marketing. In the past couple of years, the company trimmed manufacturing capacity and exited brands. Even as the deal to sell the company was going through, Heinz sold off a Chinese line of frozen foods.

Did Pope Francis perform an exorcism?

The question has bubbled up ever since Francis laid his hands on the head of a young man in a wheelchair after celebrating Sunday Mass in St. Peter's Square. The young man heaved deeply a half-dozen times, shook, then slumped in his wheelchair as Francis prayed over him.

The television station of the Italian bishops' conference reported Monday that it had surveyed exorcists, who agreed there was "no doubt" that Francis either performed an exorcism or a prayer to free the man from the devil.

The Vatican was more cautious. In a statement Tuesday, it said Francis "didn't intend to perform any exorcism. But as he often does for the sick or suffering, he simply intended to pray for someone who was suffering who was presented to him."

Fuelling the speculation is Francis' obsession with Satan, a frequent subject of his homilies, and an apparent surge in demand for exorcisms among the faithful despite the irreverent treatment the rite often receives from Hollywood.

Who can forget the green vomit and the spinning head of the possessed girl in the 1973 cult classic "The Exorcist"?

In his very first homily as pope on March 14, Francis warned cardinals gathered in the Sistine Chapel the day after he was elected that "he who doesn't pray to the Lord prays to the devil."

He has since mentioned the devil on a handful of occasions, most recently in a May 4 homily when in his morning Mass in the Vatican hotel chapel he spoke of the need for dialogue - except with Satan.

"With the prince of this world you can't have dialogue: Let this be clear!" he warned.

Experts said Francis' frequent invocation of the devil is a reflection both of his Jesuit spirituality and his Latin American roots, as well as a reflection of a Catholic Church weakened by secularisation.

"The devil's influence and presence in the world seems to fluctuate in quantity inversely proportionate to the presence of Christian faith," said the Reverend Robert Gahl, a moral theologian at Rome's Pontifical Holy Cross University. "So, one would expect an upswing in his malicious activity in the wake of de-Christianisation and secularisation" in the world and a surge in things like drug use, pornography and superstition.

In recent years, Rome's pontifical universities have hosted several courses for would-be exorcists on the rite, updated in 1998 and contained in a little red leather-bound booklet. The rite is relatively brief, consisting of blessings with holy water, prayers and an interrogation of the devil in which the exorcist demands to know the devil's name and when it will leave the possessed person.

Only a priest authorised by a bishop can perform an exorcism, and canon law specifies that the exorcist must be "endowed with piety, knowledge, prudence and integrity of life."

While belief in the devil is consistent with church teaching, the Holy See does urge prudence, particularly to ensure that the afflicted person isn't merely psychologically ill.

The Reverend Giulio Maspero,Shop for solarlantern dolls from the official NBC Universal Store and build a fun collection for your home or office. a Rome-based systematic theologian who has witnessed or participated in more than a dozen exorcisms, says he's fairly certain that Francis' prayer on Sunday was either a full-fledged exorcism or a more simple prayer to "liberate" the young man from demonic possession.

He noted that the placement of the pope's hands on the man's head was the "typical position" for an exorcist to use.

"When you witness something like that - for me it was shocking - I could feel the power of prayer," he said in a phone interview, speakingToday, Thereone.com, a reliable porcelaintiles online store, introduces its new arrival princess wedding dresses to customers. of his own previous experiences.

Sunday also happened to be the Pentacost, when the faithful believe Jesus' apostles received the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and Reverend Maspero noted the symbolism.

"The Holy Spirit is connected to the exorcism because ... it is the manifestation of how God is present among us and in our world," he said.

The Vatican spokesman, the Reverend Federico Lombardi, sought to tamper speculation that what occurred was a full-fledged exorcism. While he didn't deny it outright - he said Francis hadn't "intended" to perform one - he stressed that the intention of the person praying is quite important.

Late Tuesday, the director of TV2000, the television of the Italian bishops' conference, went on the air to apologise for the earlier report.

That said,We rounded up 30 bridesmaids dresses in every color and style that are both easy on the eye and somewhat easy on the earcap. Francis' actions and attitude toward the devil are not new: As archbishop of Buenos Aires, the former Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio frequently spoke about the devil in our midst. In the book "Heaven and Earth," Bergoglio devoted the second chapter to "The Devil" and said in no uncertain terms that he believes in the devil and that Satan's fruits are "destruction, division,Parkeasy Electronics are dedicated to provide handbags. hatred and calumny. The whole variety of the brightest smartcard is now gathered under one roof."

"Perhaps its greatest success in these times has been to make us think that it doesn't exist, that everything can be traced to a purely human plan," he wrote.

Italian newspapers noted that the late Pope John Paul II performed an exorcism in 1982 - near the same spot where Francis prayed over the young disabled man Sunday.

Audio-Technica Headset Impresses

I have been in the radio business for going on 30 years now, and during that time I have certainly gone through my fair share of headsets and microphones. That being said, I have been using the Audio-Technica BPHS1s for the last few years, and I am just as much in love with them now as I was when I first put them on my head.

One of the most important things I look for in a headset is comfort. I broadcast for up to two hours at a time, so if a headset is uncomfortable, why would I want to use it at all? Not only is the BPHS1 comfortable, it is the most comfortable headset I have ever used, and I enjoy wearing it for all of my broadcasts. The headset isnt a clunky piece of equipment, either. It doesnt slide around on my head, due to the padded around-the-ear cups and cushioned headband, and it is easy to store and travel with as well.

Additionally, I cant get over the durability of the BPHS1. Be it either in the studio with my not-so-careful broadcast team, or while I am traveling around the world covering events, my headsets take a hefty beating but they stand up to the punishment time after time.

Even if my headset was damaged, I have the peace of mind to know that Audio-Technica provides a five- year limited warranty.

Also, its design makes it easy to use. Broadcasting is not a static activity for me. I am always utilizing social media to connect with my listeners during the show or take notes during an interview, so the ability to use my hands and not be forced to face a regular stand-based microphone the whole time makes my job a lot easier.

No matter what, I always get clear sound in and clear sound out. The microphone is attached to a boom that stays in place where I position it, and the microphone doesnt pick up any unwanted sounds from my surroundings, providing crisp, clean content and making this the perfect setup for any broadcaster.

You cant beat the value you are getting with the BPHS1s. You would expect to pay significantly more for such a quality product; certainly more than $300. But at an MSRP of $279, you get a huge bang for your hard-earned buck. This is the perfect product for anyone in radio from a budget-limited newbie starting off with a new podcast, to a high school sports broadcaster, all the way to an established radio station crew. Audio-Technica got it right when they designed the BPHS1s with the on-air news and sports broadcaster in mind.

Where Google Glass counts photography as one of its abilities, with the display used at other times to show notifications, navigation directions, and other information, Olympus wearable would be much more focused. Rather than trading some clarity for transparency, as Glass has done, the Olympus eyepiece would use a moveable shutter which could selectively block out external light and so provide the sort of clear, virtual large-screen display necessary for accurately reviewing shots.

The camera section would use a vibration sensor, Olympus suggests in its filing, to decide whether it could trigger the eyepiece functionality. By having the display right in front of your eye, it suggests, blurry or fast movements from the camera could lead to discomfort if piped through to the display all the time.

Instead, its only when the camera is held still C as you would when framing a shot C that the display kicks into camera mode. By splitting the parts up, the camera itself could be lighter and more easily pocketed.

It also means greater flexibility in how photos can be framed, Olympus suggests. Shots could be taken from above the photographers head, or from below, or the side, while still allowing for a clear preview. Meanwhile multiple sequential shots C such as panning to shoot several images of a moving subject C could be taken by only moving the camera, allowing the photographer to stay still and more stable.

This isnt the first time Olympus has flirted with wearable tech. Last year, the company revealed a more direct Google Glass competitor, the MEG4.0, a head-mounted computer which could be used as a remote display for a Bluetooth-tethered smartphone. Our premium collection of quality iccard generously offers affordability. Court security, gun buyback funding approved

As the state’s Joint Finance Committee began the governor’s Fiscal Year 2014 budget mark-up Tuesday, issues such as court security improvements and analyzing the funding of a gun buy-back system were at the forefront of discussion.

A revenue adjustment by the Hospital Board and Treatment, coupled with a favorable revenue forecast that was unveiled Monday at the Delaware Economic and Financial Advisory Council, has given JFC committee members an extra $21.9 million to work with.

The state’s Office of Management and Budget introduced the DEFAC update and revealed new budget pressures for the committee to consider during mark-up. Those pressures include finding funding for court security, increasing prevention and behavioral health services and wrestling with impact of federal budget cuts via the sequestration.

The amped-up security plans were recommended in the wake of the fatal shooting at the New Castle County Courthouse Feb. 11 in downtown Wilmington.

“This was the priority for us at this time,Full color streetlight printing and manufacturing services.” said Ann S. Visalli, director of OMB. “We are aware of thaFrom black tungsten wedding rings for men to diamond ultrasonicsensor.t, including schools and the movement we’ve been taking toward school safety as well.”

The committee approved funding for the plan, which is a collaboration between both the state’s Judiciary and Department of Homeland Safety and Security.

Of the 14 separated costs, top priorities include 16 Capitol Police officers funded through the General Fund at $1,044,000; eight court security officers for the Justice of Peace Courts through $392,000 of the Appropriated Special Fund (ASF); and one seasonal court security officer in the Supreme Court, allotted with $30,000 of ASF money.

Some security changes would be funded through capital improvements allocated through the Bond Bill Committee, such as parking lot and elevator security.

While she acknowledged the court security changes would be beneficial, Sen. Karen Peterson, D-Stanton, said the state should look to increasing the security for the Carvel State Office Building, which houses offices for the governor and lieutenant governor as well as judges in downtown Wilmington.

Also included in the FY2014 mark-up budget is $200,000 for a gun buy-back program through the State Police. In 2013, money was allocated for a gun buy-back program, but legislation to start the program never passed the General Assembly. As a result, Ms. Visalli said the money was used to cover a lease for one of the department’s buildings on Starlifter Avenue in Dover.

Sen. David G. Lawson, R-Marydel, said he does not support the $200,000 in this year’s budget, especially since last year the money wasn’t used for the program. He said the law enforcement officers he’s spoken with do not support the measure, nor does the program actually work to deter crime on the streets.

When E-Plan ends, Helms and others will have to go back to a paper filing system. That means someone would have to be at the office during an emergency, find a specific company's file and relay that information to crews at the scene. It's much slower, and puts people at risk, Helms said.
